The Revolutionary Optimists has been invited to screen at UNAFF 2013. We are delighted to participate in this international documentary film festival that focuses on human rights. We are just weeks away from the official launch of Map Your World. We released a fabulous demo website which will show you some of the incredible work our mappers have been doing all around the world, including youth from Prayasam. On March 27th, we were honored to attend a special screening of The Revolutionary Optimists at UNICEF Headquarters in New York. Amlan Ganguly, Shikha Patra, and Salim Shekh traveled from India and joined in a panel discussion with UNICEF leadership, staff, and the filmmakers. Salim and Shikha eloquently described the work they have been doing in their community, and how the use of technology and the new Map Your World platform is helping them increase polio vaccination rates and obtain clean water.

The moderator, Ahmed Shihab-Eldin, was so inspired by these young change-makers, that he held a special interview on Huff Post Live the following day. Watch this interview to see a more in depth description of the impact these youth have made in their community.

We are thrilled to announce that the film will begin a theatrical run in New York on Friday March 29th at Cinema Village and at the Leammle in Los Angeles on April 19th! Additional cities will follow soon, stay tuned for an update!
